An investigation is underway after a body was found in the Penobscot River in Greenbush.

The Body Was Found in Greenbush
A report of a deceased person in the Penobscot River was called into the Penobscot County Regional Communications Center at approximately 2:15 Sunday afternoon. Officials say the body was found off the Main Road in Greenbush. Members of the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, Maine Warden Service, and Maine State Police responded to the area and recovered the body from the waterway.
The victim was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta, as protocol. More information is expected to be released as the examination continues.
No Comment on Whether the Body is a Missing Local Man
The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office has been asking for information regarding Jeremy Hill, 47, of Greenbush, who's been missing for several weeks. Officials have not commented on whether the body found on Sunday is Hill.
