A Lyman man was arrested Thursday night after police say his daughters, ages two and three, were found outside wandering around naked.

Christopher Peare, 35, was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and taken to the York County Jail, Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said in a Friday afternoon press release.

Peare's children climbed out a window of his mobile home on Walker Road and were found wandering around the neighborhood at 8 p.m.

The release said he had been playing video games and smoking marijuana, and he had no idea his children had been missing from the home for about 90 minutes.

Peare was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child in 2012 after an incident in Sanford.

The Maine Department of Health and Human Services has arranged for the children to stay with relatives.

No injuries were found after the kids were taken to a local hospital to be evaluated.
