Recently, a young couple in Kenduskeag lost their home to a fire. Husband Deven is an auto mechanic and painter and he worked from the home garage to support his family. Unfortunately he lost not only the garage but all the ‘tools of the trade’. Wife Chelsea works as a Medical Assistant for PCHC. They have a young family, a Junior in High School and a 3-year-old.

Shortly after the fire friends of the Flynn family stepped up to figure out how they and the community can help. A benefit fund raising dinner and auction is being organized to help raise funds for the family.

If you can donate an item for the silent auction it would be greatly appreciated.  Auction items are being collected this week.  Reach out to family friend Lindsay at 949-5283 with any questions and if you would like to donate an item to be picked up.

The Silent Auction and a benefit Spaghetti Dinner will be held this coming Sunday, May the 2. from noon until 4 p.m. at the Kenduskeag Fire Department. The suggested donation for the dinner is $10 per person or $25 per family. Whatever you can donate is greatly appreciated as this young family tries to rebuild their lives.

Life rolls along. You deal with bumps in the road, and shake it off and keep going.  And then a major bump.

This is when community comes forward and assists each other, and Sunday will hopefully be a re-start for the Flynns. Anything you can donate as an auction item, and at the dinner Sunday will help.
