Principal Todd Emerson has announced the honor parts for the class of 2026 at Narraguagus Jr/Sr High School in Harrington.

Valedictorian is Fatima Zamora Paniagua, daughter of Federico Zamora & Leonor Paniagua of Harrington. Salutatorian is Reagan Haycock, daughter of Heather Knapp of Cherryfield and Curtis Haycock of Milbridge.

Fatima is a member of the National Technical Honor Society as well as the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute. She has studied Health Occupations at Coastal Washington County Institute of Technology for the past two years and is a member of the SkillsUSA Knowledge Bowl Team. She received the Golden Apple Award and the Maine Principals Association Principal’s Award, as well as numerous individual class awards. Fatima is a Davis Maine Scholar and plans to study Medical Biology (Pre-Med track) in the fall.

Reagan is a member of the student council and vice-president of National Honor Society. She received the Golden Apple Award as well as numerous class awards. Reagan played basketball her freshman and sophomore years of high school. Notable team achievements include winning the DAC JV Tournament in 2023. Aside from school sports, Reagan participates in dressage which is a discipline of horseback-riding. While competing and showing across eastern and central Maine, she placed in the ribbons many times and broke personal-best scores. Other significant achievements include earning a Reserve Champion Year-End Award from The Maine Dressage Society for the 2023 competition season. Along with competing, Reagan works at the barn taking care of horses and performing barn chores. She is an involved member of the community, assisting with children's rec basketball, as well as working and job shadowing at The Openshaw SPOT. In the fall, Reagan plans to attend Husson University to pursue a degree in Occupational Therapy.

Graduation exercises will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, in the Charles F. Lawrence Gymnasium
