A Brewer man who allegedly left the scene of a crash on I-395 in Bangor Saturday is facing charges.
Brewer, Maine Man Faces Felony Charges for Allegedly Fleeing a Crash on I-395
David Harris, 48, of Brewer, is charged with:
- Leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash with injury, which is a class C felony
- Aggravated driving to endanger, also a Class C felony
- Failure to make an oral accident report
- Operating without a license.
He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail, after the police arrested him at his Brewer apartment on Sunday.
Hit-and-Run Crash on I-395 Bangor, Maine Sent a 20-Year-Old Woman to the Hospital
The charges stem from a crash on I-395 in Bangor just before noon on Saturday.
Witnesses told the Maine State Police that a black Ford Mustang struck a Volkswagen Coupe, causing the Coupe to spin out.

The Volkswagen went off the roadway, into the grass gore, crossed the entering ramp from Main Street, rolled over a guardrail, and down an embankment, finally coming to rest in the woods.
The driver, a 20-year-old Chester woman was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesperson Shannon Moss says the Mustang spun out into the concrete Jersey barrier in the median.
The driver was seen walking away from the scene.
Local law enforcement agencies assisted the Maine State Police in canvassing the area, looking for the driver, but he wasn't immediately found.
Brewer Man Allegedly Left the Scene of a Hit-and-Run Crash on I-395 in Bangor, Maine
A photo of the individual leaving the scene of the crash was submitted to the State Police 411 Tip Line and the police say the photo matched the description of David Harris, who is the registered owner of the Mustang.
Police went to Harris's apartment just after 7:30 Sunday morning and took him into custody.
