Is Justin Moore Really ‘One of the Old Guys’ Now?
Justin Moore signed with Valory Music Co. in 2007, and in a new interview with his record label, Big Machine Label Group, the "Kinda Don't Care" singer reflects on his decade-plus career.
“It’s comical to me as I sit here and think about being one of the 'older guys', one of the 'generation before guys,' because you always think of yourself as young, newer—but we’re not," he says.
The country singer has released four studio albums since first signing his record deal and has six No. 1 hits under his belt. While he may deem himself as "one of the older guys," he admits being older and wiser is, in fact, a blessing.
"It means that we’ve had longevity in a business that’s not easy to attain,” he reflects.
Moore is currently in the midst of his 2018 Hell On a Highway Tour, and hard at work on his fifth studio album. He recently teased the project, promising fans that it's his "countriest" album yet.
"We’re writing for a brand-new album—and just a little tidbit about it, it’s going to be the ‘countriest’ album that we’ve recorded yet," he says in an interview with his label, Big Machine Label Group. "So, looking forward to continuing to write for that, record for that, and give you updates on how all that’s going."
Moore's latest album, Kinda Don't Care, includes previous No. 1 hits "You Look Like I Need a Drink" and "Somebody Else Will." Following his Hell on a Highway Tour with opener Travis Denning, he'll perform at Taste of Country Music Festival in New York this June.
