During the Search, Police found Money Used in Purchases By Undercover Agents
At approximately 12:40 Wednesday morning, the Maine State Police Tactical Team executed a search warrant at 64 U.S. Route 1 in Indian Township. A total of 6 people were detained while agents conducted the search, four of whom were eventually arrested. They allegedly found evidence of drug trafficking and use, as well as covert funds that had been used by undercover agents to make purchases of fentanyl from people at the address. Officials say a follow-up investigation revealed that a significant amount of the drugs in the home were likely flushed in a toilet by people in the house, while the police and drug agents searched the residence.
This investigation was a joint effort between state and federal agencies, as well as the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and Indian Township Police.
