Cumberland County Officials Say Lefebvre Confronted Deputies With a Gun
When deputies arrived, Lefebvre was reportedly armed and uncooperative, allegedly firing multiple rounds at law enforcement. Deputies learned that there were other family members in the home that were at risk. Officials say when Lefebvre exited the home and confronted deputies with a firearm, he was shot and injured by three Cumberland County Sheriff's Deputies. Lefebvre suffered serious injuries and was transported by Lifeflight to Maine Medical Center for treatment.
The three deputies were placed on administrative leave, pending an investigation by the Office of the Attorney General. This is standard procedure in all cases involving the use of deadly force by law enforcement.
