Hannaford has issued a recall on several of their fresh salads and pasta dishes for possible listeria contamination.

Hannaford Says 7 Products Are Included in the Recall

There have been no reports of sickness or injury, but Hannaford has opted to voluntarily, temporarily remove several of their salads and pasta dishes in its produce and deli departments. The decision was made after company officials received notification from the products' manufacturer of the potential for listeria contamination.

The recalled products, sold between September 23 to October 1, 2024, include:

  • Fiesta Salad with Chicken - UPC: 03022307123
  • Cobb Salad with Chicken and Bacon - UPC: 03022307124
  • Caesar Salad with Chicken - UPC: 03022307126
  • Caesar Salad with Chicken and Bacon - UPC: 03022307127
  • BLT Salad with Chicken - UPC: 03022307128
  • Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken - UPC: 03022307024
  • Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken Family Meal - UPC: 0302207029

Products Included in the Recall Can Be Returned to Hannaford

Anyone who thinks they may have purchased one or more of these items is encouraged to check their freezer and storage areas. If they find any of the products on this list, Hannaford officials say they should not consume any and return the product(s) to their local Hannaford store for a full refund. All impacted products have been removed from the shelves.

Listeria is a Bacteria That Causes a Number of Symptoms

The Food and Drug Administration says symptoms of listeriosis can appear as quickly as a few hours or as long as three days after the affected food is eaten.

Mild symptoms include:

  • Fever
  • Muscle Aches
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea

If the more sever form of listeriosis develops, symptoms can include:

  • Headache
  • Stiff neck
  • Confusion
  • Loss of balance
  • Convulsions

Anyone who begins to show symptoms and believes they may have been affected should contact their healthcare provider.
