Mr. Parrot Was Under Investigation for Alleged Child Pornography
The District of Maine U.S. Attorney's Office says agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation were executing a search warrant at Parrot's residence in Hancock during the summer of 2023 when the assault happened. The search warrant was in response to an investigation of accusations of possession of child pornography that began in 2022. According to the Ellsworth American, the FBI New England Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory discovered approximately 230,461 photos and 436 pornography URLs stored in Parrot's electronic devices.
As part of that investigation, FBI special agents were at Parrot's home on June 22, 2023 to execute a search warrant, but he was not cooperative. As the agents tried to enter the house, officials say Parrot tried to close the door and became combative, kicking one agent in the abdomen and pushing her backwards, resulting in injuries to her arm and elbow. He was arrested and charged with assault on a Federal officer.
His Sentence Does Not Include Jail Time
Parrot was sentenced to two years' probation and a $5,000 fine. His sentencing was held in a Bangor, Maine courtroom on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
