A Gray Man is facing aggravated drug trafficking charges, as well as a firearms charge.

A Month-Long Investigation Led to the Arrest of a 50-Year-Old Gray Man

Peter Petersen, 50, of Gray is facing the drug charge and also unlawful possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. The charges stem from a month-long investigation by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency into the illegal distribution of fentanyl and methamphetamine by Petersen from his home in Gray. During the investigation, undercover agents made several purchases of fentanyl from the suspect.

Agents Seized Fentanyl, Meth, and Amphetamines, As Well As a Firearm

MDEA agents and members of the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office arrived at Petersen's home, 80 Whitney Road in Gray, at around 2:00 Wednesday afternoon and arrested him on an outstanding warrant, charging three counts of aggravated trafficking in fentanyl. The home was searched  and officials Seized approximately 10 grams each of fentanyl, amphetamine, and methamphetamine, as well as three loaded firearms. Petersen was transported to the Cumberland County Jail, where he was charged with being a prohibited person (felon) in possession of firearms. Bail on all charges was set at $30,000 cash.
