Goldieblox! A Toy Company that Encourages Girls to Become Engineers [VIDEO]

What a great video story. Debbie Sterling is a female engineer. Sterling noticed that there are very few women in her engineering career field--approximately 11%. After doing a little research, she noticed that the toys that girls are subjected to are mostly about looking pretty. So what did she do? She started a toy company!

It's called Goldieblox. It's a great toy that helps girls build the doll houses that they are so used to playing with. The company caught on, and is now available nationwide.

Now I know what I'll be getting my granddaughters for Christmas.
