14th Annual Glenburn Community Festival is Saturday

Where to begin. This will be a full day. A fun-filled but full day. With free admission and free parking. Some events cost $ to participate in.

All at Glenburn Elementary School. Beginning with the Car Show from 9 a.m. til 11:30 a.m. Registration begins at 8 am and there’s a $5 registration fee. (Or you can preregister by emailing Glenburncarshow@gmail.com.)

Antiques Street Rods, Muscle Cars, Imports, Classic Trucks and Modern Off road are the categories.  Go win yourself the Best in Show Trophy.

A Craft Fair is happening between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Hey kids, if you have patience with Mom at the Craft Fair, you can politely remind her that the Bounce House opens at 11:30 a.m. You can bounce until 4 p.m.

At 11:00 the cornhole competition begins. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and goes until 10 a.m., or can be done online. This is the Brady Nickerson Foundation Cornhole Tournament, in memory of Brady Nickerson who was just 14 when he lost his brief battle with a very aggressive osteosarcoma. Adults pay $10 to play, the winner gets half the entry fees. Kids play to win a cornhole game.

There will be a parade which begins at Noon.  Staging begins at 10:30 a.m. on Sunset Avenue across from the town office and fire station.

Tactical Nerf games are between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and the Hermon Pan Band will play from 2 until 3:30 p.m.

The chicken BBQ is from 4 until 6 p.m. Chicken, Potato salad, corn on the cob and strawberry shortcake and a drink for $10 put on by The Glenburn Lakeside Riders Snowmobile Club.

A movie and popcorn will follow at 6 p.m.

And at dusk, fireworks to cap the evening and celebrate Glenburn’s Bi-Centennial 200-year anniversary.
