Here comes Veteran’s Day on Friday. A school holiday for most. A work holiday for some. And oh what to do with the kids.

Here is a free event that will be a learning experience, but also lots and lots of fun for all. And all are invited. You the kids, Grandpa.  Whomever.

For Veterans Day Appreciation 2022, Challenger Learning Center in Bangor hosts the family outreach event: Apollo 13 Challenge.

If you missed the blood moon early this morning, not to worry.

You are going to the moon, replicating the engineering design challenge of the NASA Apollo 13 mission.

Families will complete their mission in Challenger Learning Center’s one of a kind mission control and space lab simulators.

Look at me I’m Sally Ride. Or Neil Armstrong.

The events are this Friday, November 11th. First session from 1 to 2:30 p.m., and the second  session from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and totally free of charge, thanks to the generous sponsorship by the Cole Land Transportation Museum.

The program will be held in the space lab and mission control simulators.

All welcome from ages 7 to 99. Make it a family event and participate together.
