For Mainers Who Like Sunny & 70, Here We Go
If it’s not the most popular topic when you’re chatting across the fence, or when you bump into somebody, who knows what is.
"How about this weather?" "Chillier this morning." "The highs aren't very high anymore."
Hold on. Yes, they are. And this is not the first time we’ve had a few chilly nights and cooler days and the leaves are changing color and people decide it’s not going to get mild again until spring. Sorry, you’re wrong. Happens a lot in early October. Within a day or two, a lot of Maine will be about 5 to 10 degrees milder than normal for this time of the year. So if you like your weather Sunny and around 70, sit tight. It’ll be here before you know it.
We would check in with our buddy from WABI-TV 5 Chief Meteorologist Todd Simcox, but Todd is off at the Fryeburg Fair, in line for the pie-eating contest or to chase the greased pig or whatever other fun thing one does at the biggest fair in the state. Todd or no Todd, here's the look ahead.
Might not last long, but for those who like a little more of the mild weather, you get your wish. What day should I cut the grass? And for those that are pining for more fall-like, leading into winter weather you too shall get just what you want. You "snow" it's coming.
