A father and son from Massachusetts were hurt in a wreck on the Maine Turnpike Thursday morning.

It happened on the northbound exit 3 off-ramp in Kittery.

The truck was towing a trailer, which was carrying two other vehicles.

The truck overturned and came to rest on its wheels. The trailer also overturned and came to rest on its side.

55-year-old Luiz Coelho of Hudson and his son, 22-year-old Arthur Coelho of Marlborough, were both thrown from the vehicle.

The two suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Police say Luiz Coelho was driving the truck and speed was likely a factor in the accident.
