A woman is dead after a crash between her pickup truck and a loaded horse trailer that was being hauled behind another pickup truck.

Kelly Sabin, 55, of Wilton was the driver of the Toyota Tacoma pickup that collided with a horse trailer being hauled by a GMC pickup.

Was Anyone Else Hurt?

The Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office was called to a two-vehicle crash in the area of 366 Boothbay Road in Livermore on Friday afternoon. When Deputies arrived, they found that the Toyota pickup, driven by Sabin, had struck a horse trailer, which was loaded with two draft horses. Driving the second pickup was Charles Blanchard Jr., 78, of Freedom, New Hampshire.

Ms. Sabin was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Mr. Blanchard and his passenger were not hurt in the crash. The horses were also not injured.

What Happened?

Officials say a preliminary investigation into the circumstances of the incident indicated that Sabin had been driving erratically prior to the crash and had been seen weaving from lane to lane. The crash remains under investigation.
