Ellsworth Police Arrest 2 in Separate Cases, Seize Coke, Fentanyl
Ellsworth Police have charged two people in connection with two separate drug busts.
Where Was the First Case?
The first case was on March 29th, when Ellsworth Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on the Bangor Road. As part of the investigation, a search of the vehicle was conducted, during which officials seized 79.23 grams of cocaine and $8,495.00 in cash. Jeffery S. Card, 47, of Ellsworth is charged with trafficking of a scheduled W drug.
Who Was Arrested in the Second Case?
On April 2nd, Ellsworth Police were investigating a trespassing complaint at a local motel and ended up arresting a man on drug charges, but also on an outstanding warrant. Seized in connection to the investigation was Shawn D. Silsby, 51, of Ellsworth who was charged with aggravated trafficking of a scheduled W drug and unlawful possession of a scheduled W drug. In addition, he was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear on a charge of theft out of Penobscot County. Seized in this case were 75.91 grams of fentanyl and 12.13 grams of cocaine.
