An Eddington woman is dead after a single-vehicle crash in that town.

Maine Authorities Have Not Released the Name of the Eddington Crash Victim

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office says the deceased is a 25-year-old woman from Eddington. Her name has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

Maine Sheriff's Deputy Discovered the Eddington Crash Just After it Happened

Officials say a sheriff's deputy was on routine patrol in Eddington when they came across the crash at approximately 11:45 Wednesday morning. The Deputy said it appeared that the crash had just happened.

An initial investigation indicated to authorities that a Toyota Rav 4 had struck a tree head-on. The driver was alone in the vehicle and was deceased when the deputy arrived.
