Were Drugs Found in the Home?

It was approximately 5:30 Tuesday night when Officer Knappe noticed Lisa Lamson in a vehicle in a driveway of a Granite Street home in Millinocket. Lamson had an active warrant out for her arrest and Knappe learned she was there to pick up her friend, Allyson Porter, who also had an active arrest warrant. When the police tried to contact Porter inside the home, she initially tried to hide from the police in a bedroom, but they located her and a male, who was later identified as Jamie Vandegraaf. As the two suspects were questioned, the officers learned that Vandegraaf was on probation for robbery and aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs.

At this point, the home was searched and officers seized bags containing a total of over 30 grams of suspected fentanyl, as well as 2 grams of methamphetamine, and a loaded handgun, along with other items consistent with drug trafficking.

A representative with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services was also contacted and arrived to assist in removing a child from the home.

What Charges Do They Face?

The charges against the three suspects are as follows:

  • Lamson was arrested on her active warrant and additionally charged with violation of conditions of release after a positive urine drug screen, per her bail conditions.
  • Porter was arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, endangering the welfare of a child, violation of conditions of release, and on her active arrest warrant.
  • Vandegraaf was arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, unlawful possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and violation of probation.

The case remains under investigation.
