Who Were the People Involved in the Crash?
Joshua Goncalves-Radding of North Babylon, New York was driving the vehicle that contained a total of seven people when the crash happened on Saturday, December 10th, 2022.
At approximately 2am, Maine State Police Troopers were first on the scene of the single-vehicle crash on Shore Road in Castine, also known as Route 166. When they arrived, they found four people who were deceased and three others who were injured. The people who died in the crash included:

How Did the Crash Happen?
An investigation into the circumstances of the crash determined that the vehicle was traveling south, with Goncalves-Radding at the wheel, when it left the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle then caught fire. Officials eventually confirmed that speed and alcohol were factors in the crash and the case was submitted to the Hancock County District Attorney's Office for review.
What Charges Does the Driver Face?
As a result of that investigation, Goncalves-Radding has been indicted on four counts of manslaughter, five counts of aggravated operating under the influence, two counts of reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, three counts of driving to endanger, one count each of criminal speed, forgery, and unlawful use of a license.
