Drink Plenty of Water and Check on Elderly Neighbors This Weekend
It's going to be a hot and humid weekend, so residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and check on elderly relatives and neighbors to make sure they have a way to stay cool.
Summer starts on Saturday, and it's kicking off with a heat wave. Temperatures in the 90's with humidity make for some dangerous conditions, if you're not taking precautions. Add in the fact that we really haven't had time to acclimate ourselves to the shift in weather, and it's even more important to make sure we're taking care of ourselves and others. We went to the CDC for advice on things we should be doing, this weekend, to avoid starting the season off with a bad sunburn or trip to the doctor.
