A man who offered a twin bed to help a family recover from a devastating fire has now lost his own family's home in the same way.

Now, the Blackwell Insurance Agency is collecting donations for both families. A post on the company's Facebook page tells the story of Adam and Robyn Jones, who lived across the street from the agency's Dexter office. The couple lived there with their three children and, when they heard of a woman and her granddaughter who had lost their home to fire, offered to donate a bed. The agency staff told him they'd get it next week and thanked him for his generosity to a family he had never met.

About 3 1/2 hours later, at around 7:00 Friday night, crews responded to a fire at the Jones' home that has forced them to start over, as well. So the Blackwell staff has set the agency up as a collection site for both the Jones family and also for Mary Neal and her 10-year-old granddaughter.
