David Priest Memorial Cruise-In Will Be Fun for An Awesome Cause
The only thing better than an awesome cruise-in is one that also benefits an amazing cause, in this case, technical students interested in automotive trades.
The History of the Cruise-In Makes It Even More Special
I grew up going to cruise-ins and love looking at classic cars and trucks, hot rods, sports cars, you name it. My favorites are the old pickup trucks that I love so much, I have a mini truck in my office at work. Okay, it's a step-up from a Hot Wheel, but I love it.

On Saturday, August 3rd, a huge cruise-in will be held at the United Technology Center on Hogan Road in Bangor. And the history of this event will touch your heart. David Priest was a student at the United Technology Center who went on to work at Glidden Auto Body and had a truck that was his pride and joy. Sadly, David passed away from cancer in 2012, at the tender age of 19.

Proceeds Benefit Hermon High School Students With An Interest in Automotive Trades
His parents, Alta and John, decided to honor their son's memory by helping others with similar interests. So each year, a cruise-in is held and the proceeds benefit the David Priest Scholarship Program which helps technical students interested in the automotive trades pursue their career.
Car Lovers Won't Want to Miss This
This year's David Priest Memorial Cruise-in will be held at the United Technology Center on Hogan Road in Bangor from 10 to 2. Admission is free but donations will be happily accepted, to benefit the David Priest Scholarships at Hermon High School. And if you have a vehicle you want to enter in the Cruise-In, just show up at UTC Saturday morning. Organizers will be there early, so claim your spot before the show starts. It's going to be a very fun day and we hope to see you there. If you're looking for me, I'll probably be hanging around the classic trucks.
