Garth Brooks covers all the bases.  Dive Bar Tour. Major Stadium tours. First to beam himself to 300 drive in theaters simultaneously next week.  And now his timely new song.  a message of unity. "We Belong to Each Other" was first shared by Good Morning America's Robin Roberts,

It's not clear how the song may be released beyond just the Facebook video shared first by Roberts and then on Brooks' own page. He often releases music through Amazon, but has also been promising a full length album called Fun for quite awhile.

Next week (Saturday the 27th) Garth will host a drive in theater concert to be aired on 300 screens nationwide. And here in Maine at the Bangor Drive In.

Wouldn’t it be cool if we could have a contest so a Q106.5 listener could win the $100 prize, an entry for their car with up to 6 people.

Stay tuned.

She’s back.  Gwen Stefani will return as a judge for Season 19 of The Voice on NBC this fall. She met her boyfriend on that show, right.

John Legend and Kelly Clarkson will round out the four red chairs, with more mentors sure to be announced at a later date.

While Stefani didn't coach this past season, she did join Blake Shelton to sing their duet during the season finale of the show. Nobody But You was a No. 1 hit

They’ve been b.f g.f. for nearly 5 years.  Wow time flies

A lot of controversial Confederate monuments and statues especially in the south are coming down.

Here’s an idea, that is actually gaining traction.  At least in Tennessee. A guy there has petitioned the Tennessee State House, Tennessee State Senate and Tennessee Governor Bill Lee  calling for a replacement.

He says Tennessee should  replace all of the old monuments of Confederate generals and key figures from the Confederacy that still stand in numerous locations across the state of Tennessee with Statues of Dolly Parton.

Alex Parsons says “let us honor a true Tennessee hero, Dolly Parton."

The petition cites Dolly’s musical contributions, as well as her charity efforts in providing books to underprivileged children, her support of the Red Cross and her recent donation to help support finding a cure for the coronavirus

More Dolly news.  A new book about the personal stories behind some of her best-loved songs. Actually 175 of her famous songs. Dolly Parton, Songteller: My Life in Lyrics is set for release this fall.
