After Two Years Away, The Common Ground Fair Will Make Its Triumphant Return

Do you remember your first Common Ground Fair?

The first time I ever went was in high school. I went with my girlfriend and her family. In general, they kind of hated me, so I can't say it was the best time I've ever had at the CGF, but I will certainly never forget it. especially because I remember her and her mom singing Roxette at the top of their lungs, and I kinda wished I'd been ejected from a moving vehicle that day.

But anyway... I've gone many times since. My wife and I try to go every year that we can. Especially since we moved back up to this area. It's such a great time. I love to eat weird foods and try new things, and the Common Ground Fair can be a great place for that sort of thing. There's always some funky thing to try.

2022 marks the fair's big return to the scene.

There hasn't been a Common Ground Fair since the fall of 2019. That seems like a thousand years ago at this point. It was definitely what we all think of now as the "before times". But this year, it's finally coming back to Unity according to the BDN. this year it will be held on Sept. 23, 24 and 25.

Obviously, it will still be a little different, as they will follow all state and federal guidelines which may be in place at the time. But still, after a two-year hiatus, it will be nice to see the fairgrounds once again bustling with people. that's a lot to say coming from a notorious anti people-person, hahaha.

Hopefully someone will have the delicious tofu egg rolls I tried for the first time back in high school. And also hopefully, I won't run into that old ex-girlfriend from high school. That'd be awkward, amirite?!
