Cole Land Transportation Museum Touch A Truck Event
The Cole Land Transportation Museum partners with Girl Scouts of Maine for a Transportation Expo.
The event takes place this Saturday the 14th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
It’ll be a day of fun and learning too.
It’s a family friendly event and is a combination of entertainment and education. With a deep dive into the world of transportation.
On display you can get up close and personal to the massive snowplow that takes care of the snow at Bangor International Airport.
Without it, nobody would get to fly anywhere in winter. And it’ll be busy with work soon enough, so go take a peek at it this weekend.
Also one of the LifeFlight of Maine’s helicopters. The accomplishments of LifeFlight is truly amazing, and you’ll get to see how they do it.
There’s something about a truck. See a heavy-duty machinery truck from Sargent Corporation – Asphalt Operations.
And what’s a collection of transportation vehicles without Food Trucks.
There will be 3 food trucks. Bring some cash for lunch from Ca C’est Bon, Port Harbor Jamaican or Amy’s Baked Confections.
Touch a truck and interactive booths make for a fun event.
This event embodies the core mission of the Cole Land Transportation Museum, which is to educate and inspire while preserving Maine’s transportation history.
Says Jennifer Munson, Museum Director,
We are delighted to collaborate with Girl Scouts of Maine and we believe that this day will be a memorable experience for families and transportation enthusiasts alike.
Here's hoping they take orders for Girl Scout cookies...or is that just me/
Cole Land Transportation Museum is located at 405 Perry Road in Bangor. The admission is $5 for adults, children are free, and will give you access to everything, including the museum.
