Christmas in My Hometown…Millinocket Maine [VIDEO]

Growing up in the small mill town of Millinocket may have seemed boring to some, but the people, the scenery and the feeling of belonging will  never be matched anywhere. The pride in the community of the towns students, musicians and athletes was evident at events as nearly the entire town would support them no matter what...and growing up in the shadow of Mt. Katahdin was the icing on the cake for all.

Well, many years later, the town has changed so much, the mill is gone, and many of the people that made Millinocket their home...are also no longer there. But the one thing that will always remain in us all is the feeling that 'There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays' and as I came across this video, sung by a close friend of mine, Nate Rush, I couldn't help but shed a tear as my childhood came flooding back with memories of Christmas surrounded by my family and friends in the shadow of majestic Mt. Katahdin...Millinocket you'll always be my hometown, and I say that with pride. Please enjoy this song...and remember the good times we shared in that small town.
