Child Involved In Waterboro Crash Has Died

A 10-month old child who was involved in an accident in Waterboro last week has died of her injuries.

Newscentermaine.com reports Gabrielle Kennedy died at the hospital on January 14th. She had been flown by LifeFlight to Maine Medical center after the accident on Thursday when her mother, Ellen's, SUV was struck from behind by a box truck driven by Rene Romero, 53, of Lynn, Massachusetts. Ellen Kennedy had been attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Straw Mill Brook Road, from Main Street at around 6:30 a.m. when the accident happened. Both Kennedy and Romero sustained minor injuries, but the baby was taken by helicopter to Maine Medical Center.

Romero was arrested for Aggravated Driving to Endanger.
