Carrie Underwood gave a fan in Boston an unforgettable experience during her concert at TD Garden on Thursday night (Oct. 10). The country superstar gave a special fan named Chuck Choi the chance to take the stage with her to rap on her song, "The Champion."

Underwood originally recorded the song with Ludacris, and it features a rap breakdown. Six months ago, she put out a call for fans to send in their "champion" stories of overcoming various obstacles in their lives, and Choi — who works as a Design Specialist at HubSpot in Boston — sent in a video of himself in which he explained how he overcame the language barrier when he first moved to America by listening to rap and hip hop.

“I learned English through listening to Eminem the rapper,” Choi said in his video, according to People, adding, “It’d be an honor for me to stand on the stage with you.”

Underwood reached out to Choi to offer him the chance to rap with her onstage when her current Cry Pretty Tour 360 played his hometown, and she was as good as her word. Choi joined her onstage in front of a massive crowd on Thursday evening, re-creating Ludacris' parts from "The Champion" and receiving a glowing introduction from Underwood.

"Chuck is a champion, because when he moved to the U.S., he didn’t speak any English," she told her fans. "He chose to keep a good attitude, and learned to speak the language by listening to Eminem. Chuck says his experience has taught him that nothing is impossible, and you can overcome any struggle with a positive attitude.”

Choi got so "hyped up" during his performance that his glasses fell off, he tells People.

“Carrie was very nice and picked up the glasses for me!" he recounts. "As I was leaving the stage, everyone was cheering for me, asking to take pictures. I couldn’t get out of the arena for about 40 minutes. It was an experience I’ll never forget. Thanks to Carrie’s Crew, I’ll never forget feeling like a superstar."

Watch the performance in the video at the top of the story.

Choi managed to get a picture with Underwood before leaving the stage, which he posted to Instagram, writing, "Carrie you are an awesome person, maybe in 20 years I will invite you to my show as my guest artist at a sold out arena!"
