The incident began at approximately 11 am on Monday, when Somerset County Sheriff's Deputy Allen Jones was at the Circle K convenience store in Canaan.

Deputy Jones says he noticed Tripp getting into a vehicle and knew she was on probation and had an active warrant out for her arrest.
He also noticed there was an expired inspection sticker on the vehicle, so he pulled it over on Easy Street in Canaan.
One of Tripp's conditions of probation is that she's subject to random searches and testing for illegal drugs.
Deputy Jones arrested Tripp on the active warrant and searched her belongings.
In that search, he found 86.7 grams of crack cocaine.
Ms. Tripp told Jones that she was also concealing Fentanyl on her person.
Deputy Jones noticed, as he was questioning Robinson, a large quantity of drugs thrown on the ground on the passenger's side of the vehicle that were not there when Tripp got out.
The total amount of drugs seized during this stop was 114 grams of crack cocaine and 8.7 grams of Fentanyl.
That's enough Fentanyl to kill around 4,000 people potentially.
