A 91-year-old woman was struck by a car on Main Street in Bucksport on Thursday.

Bucksport Police have not released the woman's name but say she was responsive when officers arrived. She was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

WFVX-TV reports that the incident was called into dispatch just before 7 pm. When the police responded, they found the victim but the vehicle was not at the scene. Now, officials are looking for the vehicle and its driver who fled the scene. No description of that vehicle has been released.
