Brewer Police Looking for Driver Who Hit a House in a Stolen Car

Brewer Police continue to search for a driver who ran after crashing a stolen car into a house.

The Crash Happened on Washington Street in Brewer

The incident happened just before 10:30 Sunday morning on the corner of Silk and Washington Streets in Brewer. When Police arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle that had struck a house, but the driver was not at the scene.

Police Say the Vehicle Left At the Scene Was Stolen

Brewer Police confirmed for us that the car was stolen and say they are actively searching for the person who crashed the stolen vehicle. WVII-TV reports there was some suspected criminal activity across the river in Bangor prior to the crash.
