New Business: Brewer Also Will Get a Shammy’s Car Wash

Last week the sign went up near Bangor Mall on Stillwater Avenue saying Shammy’s Car Wash is coming soon. Here is that story.

But there is also a sign in Brewer saying the same thing there.

That will be two brand-new car washes, and who knows if that is it, or if they are looking at other Maine location possibilities.

Here’s the sign on Wilson Street in Brewer, directly across the street from Down East Toyota. You’ll see Tuesday’s next to the now-vacant lot, soon to be Shammy's Car Wash.

We reached out to the City of Brewer and are awaiting any information they can share about the plans presented to them.

And since Shammy’s Car Wash is unknown in Maine and they have put up coming soon signs in both Bangor and Brewer we reached out to a contact at their corporate headquarters.

Oh nice, fee vacuums. We also uncovered a sort of mission statement elsewhere.

Thought those on the Brewer side of the Penobscot River that haven’t seen the sign on Wilson Street would like to know that it sure looks like there will be a new car wash coming to Brewer too, and not just to Bangor.
