Brewer Maine Youngster is Again Helping Raise Money for the Community
If you're from Brewer, chances are you've heard of D-Max. He's a young man who's been raising money for kids in the community for a few years now. It seems like D-Max, also known as Dorian, always has a plan to help others, starting with raising money so all kids at Brewer Community School could have snacks at snack time.
Brewer Maine Baseball Game Between Firefighters and Cops
His latest project is a baseball game on Sunday between the Brewer Police Department and the Brewer Fire Department, under the name Badge vs. Badge. The game is free but donations will be used to fix up the Little League field in Brewer.
For the record, I used to watch Little League games at that field when I was a kid. I'm not giving you the exact year, but it started with 19. I'm sure it's ready for some sprucing up. The field is located behind the North Brewer Shopping Plaza, where Paradis supermarket is.
Brewer Maine Charity Baseball Game Will Include Refreshments and Audience Games
The game is free and there will be some snacks, including Darling's Ice Cream for a Cause, Brick & Embers food truck, and the Snack Shack. Fun games between innings will keep the entertainment moving while the cops and firefighters are taking a break.
D told me that he suspects the firefighters will win because they have such physical jobs. So, I think that means the Brewer Police need to show him they're pretty fit too.
The pre-game starts at 10 on Sunday and the game starts at 11. Play ball!
