Body Found Near Lisbon Pond Was Accidental Death

Lisbon Police have released the identity of a woman whose body was found near a pond.

Chief Marc Hagan said in a post on the department's Facebook page that the deceased has been identified as 61-year-old Carol Plourde of Lisbon. A local resident found the remains near a small pond on his property at around 6:00 Sunday evening.

The State Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy and determined that the cause of death was accidental drowning. Anyone with any relevant information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Bill Tapley with the Lisbon Police Department.
