
Maine’s ME Hopes to Identify Body Found in the Presumpscot River
Falmouth Police say a body that was found in the river had been in the water for quite a while.
Where Was the Person Found?
First responders are investigating after a body was recovered from the Presumpscot River in Falmouth Thursday evening. Members of the Falmouth Police and Fire Departments got the call that a body had been discovered near the Gray Road bridge at around 6:30.

Who Made the Discovery?
Falmouth Police Chief John Kilbride told WCSH-TV that the deceased person was found by a fisherman, who spotted the body in a small inlet. He says the person had obviously been in the water for quite some time and was unrecognizable.
What's Being Done to Identify the Person?
The body has been taken to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office where an autopsy will be performed to try and determine the person's identification and their cause of death.
