Bangor Police are investigating two new convenience store robberies, after a similar incident last week.

Two Robberies Happened in Bangor Over the Weekend at Convenience Stores

Sergeant Jason McAmbley confirmed for us that two robberies occurred over the weekend. The first took place before 8:00 Sunday night at the Big Apple Convenience store at 146 State Street. Police responded when the clerk called 911 just after 8. The employee told officers they believed it was the same person they saw in the news reports about the Circle K robbery on Monday, January 13th. The suspect allegedly brandished a knife and demanded money. After taking the cash, the suspect left the scene on foot.

Approximately 30 minutes later, the police responded to a panic alarm from the Circle K at Broadway and Griffin which is the same business robbed on January 13th. When officers arrived the employee at the store said they had been robbed again, and by the same individual from the first robbery. The suspect description was the same as the one from the Big Apple. The worker told officers the suspect left on foot in an unknown direction.
