Bangor Police have arrested a suspect who allegedly robbed a Broadway convenience store and stole the clerk's car.

When Was the Robbery?

Sergeant Jason McAmbley says it was approximately 11:45 Sunday night when a man walked into the Circle K convenience store on Broadway in Bangor and pulled out a weapon. The clerk pushed the panic button to summon police. The suspect then threatened the clerk and stole some items from the store. Officials have not commented on what type of weapon was used in the robbery.

Who Was Arrested?

On Monday afternoon, members of the Bangor and Lincoln Police Departments arrested Jeremy Clifford, 29, in connection with the robbery. Bangor Police provided the latest mugshot of Clifford, which has him looking much different than the picture released Monday night, with longer hair and no facial hair.

Clifford is charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Kidnapping
  • Felony Theft
  • Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon

He was arrested at an address in Lincoln.
