Bangor Police Say Witnesses Told Investigators Buzzell Had Hit the Car
The incident started when Bangor Police were called to the Best Buy parking lot on Wednesday, after learning that a man had backed into another person's vehicle in the lot and then tried to leave. When the Officers arrived, they found Buzzell in his vehicle in the parking lot and questioned him. He denied having been involved in the accident but when the police talked to witnesses, they said they saw Buzzell back into a car before trying to leave the scene.

Officers Had to Break Out the Suspect's Car Windows to Take Him Into Custody
While the initial officer had Buzzell's license and registration to complete his paperwork Buzzell drove away, with the second officer on the scene right behind him. Sergeant Jason McAmbley says the chase traveled south on I-95 at speeds between 60 and 80 miles per hour before the police were able to box him in and force him to stop. Officers had to break out the windows of his vehicle to get to Buzzell, but they were able to take him into custody. Buzzell was arrested and transported to the Penobscot County Jail.
