Bangor Police have arrested a Hermon man in connection with a shooting last week on York Street.

Julius Williams, 32 has been arrested for the incident that happened just after 7:30 on the evening of Friday, May 15th. Officers were called to the area of York and Essex Streets for a report of gunshots, but found no one at the location when they arrived. They did determine that there had been a shooting. There have been no reports of injuries.

Police released pictures of two vehicles, suspected of being involved in the incident, that were spotted on security footage. The subsequent investigation led police to Williams, who was arrested on Wednesday evening at his home and charged with reckless conduct and attempted elevated aggravated assault. He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail and has since been released on $1,000 bail.

Officials are no longer seeking information about the two vehicles, saying both have been located and processed by evidence technicians.

The incident remains under investigation.
