A crashed, abandoned vehicle in Windsor sparked an investigation that led to a total of three vehicles that had been stolen. Travis Arbour of Windsor has been arrested for a probation violation and police say additional charges are likely .
Voters wishing to vote with an absentee ballot must request one by close of business Thursday. An absentee ballot can be requested using a form online or it can be printed out and mailed or hand-delivered to the municipal clerk.
Independent candidate Alan Caron announced yesterday that he’s dropping out of the race for Governor. Caron said in an op-ed piece in the Portland Press Herald last spring that he would end his campaign in October if it became clear that he couldn’t win. That leaves Shawn Moody, Janet Mills, and Terry Hayes still in the Governor’s race.
Halloween can be a scary time for pets, who don’t understand why people dress in scary costumes. They should not be taken door to door as their owners trick or treat, and should be kept in a room away from where you’re handing out candy, so they don’t get spooked and run. Finally, candy, raisins, and grapes can all be toxic to dogs, so limit their snacks to dog-friendly treats.
