Forget the Snow, Bangor Parks & Rec is Hiring Lifeguards
Snow yesterday. Snow tomorrow.
How about something to get you thinking of summer. Something that is just as wet, but much warmer.
It is not too early for Bangor Parks and Rec to start the process of hiring pool life guards for the summer of 2023.

Summer is coming, right.
It may be March, but Bangor Parks and Rec is looking to hire energetic, motivated and enthusiastic lifeguards for the summer season.
Remember last year with the reduction in hours for pool operations, and in Brewer the community pool didn’t even get to open due to on going operational issues.
So if you want to be a lifeguard in Bangor this summer, don’t hesitate. Apply now.
Lifeguards are responsible for some planning and organization of swim programs, instruction and leadership of aquatic activities and naturally the overall supervision of children and adults at the pools.
And if you do not yet have your certification, you can still apply for a job, and sign up for a lifeguard course to get your certification. If you do that and pass the course, the City of Bangor Parks and Recreation will pay for your certification if you work for the summer.
The lifeguard jobs run from the middle of June through the month of August., so this is only a seasonal position. But what a way to spend the summer.
