Bangor Police are investigating after a report on Tuesday of a body located near Odlin Road.

Officials say the call came in before noon on Tuesday that there may have been a body by the railroad tracks that cross Odlin Road, near the intersection with Outer Hammond Street. When Bangor Police got to the scene, they found what Sergeant Wade Betters described as 'human remains.' He said, at this time, investigators could not even identify race/sex/age range yet, and that the individual did not die recently.

Now, police will work to determine the person's identity and the manner and approximate date of death.

This is an ongoing investigation.
