Two people died in a crash on Finson Road in Bangor that the Sheriff's Office says followed a police pursuit.

What Do We Know About the Victims of the Crash?

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office has identified the deceased as:

  • Noah Mushero, 39, of Bangor
  • Sheena Scotomah-Rolfe, 39, of Orono

Both people died when their vehicle left the roadway on Finson Road in Bangor at a high rate of speed and struck a tree.

Who Was Involved With the Police Pursuit?

The crash happened at approximately 9:30 Monday morning.  The vehicle has been involved in a pursuit with members of the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office shortly before the crash happened. So far, authorities have not given any information about what prompted the chase.

How Long Was the Road Closed?

Finson Road, between the intersections with Broadway and Davis Road in Bangor, was closed for much of the morning while Maine State Police reconstructed the crash. This incident is being investigated by the Bangor Police Department, in cooperation with the Maine State Police, and the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office.
