It is just something guys like to do. And tonight the weather will be perfect to do it.

Park the car. Open the doors, and the hood, and stand around talking about everything cars. Then walk to the next car, and do the same thing.

Smiles. Laughter. Maybe even some lies.  But certainly some stories. And a rite. Cars. And car talk.

Tonight beginning at 6 p.m. and ending by 8 p.m. there will be some very nice-looking cars in the Bangor Mall parking lot, near Chick-fil-A.

Guys and their cars, getting together after work on a Friday, hanging out and chatting automobiles.

All with respect for the machines. But also respect for the Mall Parking lot and the Chick-fil-A line of customers in their cars.

No burnouts.  No disrespect.

Just guys and their cars.  And by guys the meaning is males and females. No problems. Just car lovers doing what they love to do before heading home to begin the weekend.

Stop by and make a friend and check out their rides.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
