Bangor Police are investigating after a deceased person was found in EMMC's parking garage.

The Name of the Deceased Has Not Been Released

Officials have not released the identity of the deceased or any indication of how they died.

A Witness Told Bangor Police They Saw the Deceased in a Vehicle

Police were called to the parking garage at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor shortly after 11:00 Saturday morning by a witness who told authorities that they saw a person inside a parked car who appeared to be deceased. Officers responded and, after confirming that the person had passed away, called in Detectives and the Evidence Response Team to investigate.

Bangor Police Say There's No Danger to the Public

Bangor Police are now investigating the circumstances leading up to the person's death. An autopsy will be performed on the deceased to determine cause and manner of death. Officials say there is no danger to the public.
