Bangor Area Could See Temps In The 50s This Week
After a cold snap, spring-like temps will return to Maine this week.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a warming trend throughout the week. Temperatures in the Bangor area are forecast to warm from the mid-30s Monday, to the 50s by Thursday. The mild weather really kicks-in Wednesday, with highs expected around 47 degrees, to low 50s Thursday and Friday.
Forecasters are expecting the mild stretch to have a big impact on the snowpack around the state. They also add the conditions will benefit those who are looking to start tapping maple trees for sapping.
Temperatures will return to near freezing by Saturday.
Daylight Saving Time starts Sunday morning, so don't forget to "spring ahead" the clocks one hour. Spring officially arrives March 20, at 5:37 A.M.
