Police Searched the Suspect's Home After a 15-Year-Old Reported Being Assaulted

As part of a long-term investigation into alleged drug trafficking from 92 Fifth Street, Auburn Police received a report from a local 15-year-old who said he was walking in New Auburn when Jolicouer pulled up in his car, got out of the vehicle, and allegedly threatened him. The teen said the suspect allegedly took his shoes, sweatshirt, and cellphone before driving away. He said Jolicouer then circled the block, got out of his car, and allegedly assaulted the youth. Police say the incident stemmed from a previous drug trafficking transaction.

Drugs and Cash Were Seized From the Home That Sits Across From a Drug-Free Zone

As a result of this investigation, the Auburn Police Department's Proactive Community Enforcement Unit (PACE) executed a search warrant at the Fifth Street address. Seized in that search were more than 20 pounds of marijuana, as well as marijuana products, scales, and approximately $1,600 in suspected drug proceeds. Jolicouer owns several vehicles, which were also seized.

Since the home sits directly across the street from a park which has been designated a safe zone by the Auburn City Council, the trafficking charges were elevated to 'aggravated.' The amount of marijuana seized in this search also played into that elevated charge. Jolicouer was transported to the Androscoggin County Jail, where bail was $10,000. He has since posted bail and has been released from jail.

We'll update this story as more details become available.
