Angela Luna Bids Farewell to Bangor, WABI TV5
In some bittersweet news, TV5's morning anchor, Angela Luna, has signed off from the Maine airwaves for the last time. Angela, who has been gracing our screens and perking up our mornings alongside Joy Hollowell and Todd Simcox for the past two years, bid her final adieu this morning, August 11th, marking the end of an era for the TV5 Morning Show.
Angela took to her Facebook page last month to announce the upcoming change, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the TV5 audience for welcoming her into their living rooms and making her a part of their daily routines.
As the curtain closes on this chapter, Angela announced her next adventure: Springfield, MO, where she's set to become a Morning News Anchor at KOLR 10 News.
WABI TV5 also bid a fond farewell to Luna, acknowledging her contributions to the station and the community.
But who can forget those memorable moments that made us smile, chuckle, and even applaud Angela’s adventurous spirit? From snowsuit egg rides for a good cause, braving the elements with eggs snugly tucked into her attire to support the Pine Tree Camp's open door policy, to her unexpected yet delightful cameo on the TODAY show while stranded in the Big Apple.
Some of Angela's contributions can be viewed on WABI's YouTube page, where her compelling pieces capture the essence of local events and issues, resonating with audiences local (just like you) and from away.
Also, for those who had the pleasure of working alongside Angela at WABI, I know from personal experience that her ability to bring sunshine into the workplace will truly be missed.
And so, we raise our metaphorical (or literal) coffee cups and toast to Angela Luna -- Cheers to you and the wonderful journey that lies ahead!
